Today I wanted to share a layout I created for a challenge over at the Paper Issues Facebook group. I am still not so patiently waiting for my March Hip Kits so I am doing a bit of stash busting right now.
At kindy this week I helped on a trip along the estuary walk way to one of Aimee’s kindy teacher’s homes where we had a picnic morning tea on her massive front lawn. The kids had a ball, it was a good 5km walk and they all managed so well. The highlight was using the toilet at the teachers house ! I snapped this photo of Aimee and one of her kindy teachers (Sharon) as Aimee had jumped in her lap for a cuddle. I love how happy and comfortable Aimee is snuggled in there. I just had to scrap it.
I have used lots of older Hip Kits mixed up together . It was a white space challenge so 2/3rds of your page had to be white space.
Some close ups:Thanks for stopping by my blog today! Do you like creating layouts with lots of white space?
Hi, today I am sharing a layout for Hip Kit Club using the February 2016 Kits. I have used one of my favourite patterned papers in the kit for my background and I love how the black and white photo and the other papers/project life cards ‘pop’ on the navy spots! I have also used some of the project life cards and Amy Tangerine stickers and frame as embellishments on my page! Taylor loosing her first tooth was a momentous occasion in our house and I couldn’t wait to record this special event in her life.
Thanks for stopping by my blog today! I hope you have enjoyed my layouts with the February Hip Kits. I have one more for next week before my March kit arrives hopefully in the next day or so. Til next time Mxx
I know another post and another layout. It is the first day back after school holidays here in NZ. It is so nice and quiet here this morning without the rug rats. Although it was a culture shock to get us all out the door early this morning. I’m sure the kids are all having fun at school, kindy and creche! In the meantime, here is a layout just for fun. Don’t get to do that very often!! This one is of Aimee and her friend Adisyn at creche on the swings. Usually on Wednesday this is the first thing the girls get up too when we drop them off – thanks Wendy for the cool photo too.
Over the weekend I participated in a series of challenges over on the Hip Kit Club Members Facebook group as part if (Inter)national Scrapbooking Day It was a super fun online crop with a whole lot of challenges. I only managed to do 3 layouts over the weekend – I was a bit scrapped out from the 9 the weekend before so I was pleased to have gotten the three done I did manage.
The first layout was a monochromatic one – using one colour but different shades set by Terhi Koskinen – who is an amazing scrapbooker who I am in awe of her layouts they are just GORGEOUS!
Here is my layout for her challenge
Details:The next challenge I participated in was a one colour challenge – so one colour with only black and white accents set by Kay Rogers.
And my third layout to share is a ‘balanced layout’ challenge. Right up my alley this one… I do like to create a nice balance and flow on my layouts set by Aleksandra Gadji
That’s all I have to share today. A lot of the product I have used on these layouts have come from my Hip Kit Club kits – definitely if you are in the market for a kit club – this one is amazing.
It is time to share another layout for CSI, Case File 162 This one has a super fun colour scheme – perfect for scrapping those summer photos.
Which is exactly what I have done. Here is my layout and how I solved this case:I’ve used lots of Amy Tangerine – Stitched collection on this one along with some of my stash of Heidi Swapp and some Elle’s Studio as well. I mainly used the 6×6″ paper pad which is a really cost effective way of buying up all the new products out there without having to buy the full 12×12 sheet. The circles are just pencil circles which I have traced around a jar lid to get this effect.
Testimony: Document Your Story in a Q&A format. Here the girls favourite part of going on holiday over Christmas was taking part in the lolly scramble. Where they collected lots of lollipops and ate about half of what they collected. The bell rings at 6pm and they go running with all the other little kids to wait eagerly for the lollies to be thrown out to the crowd of children.
Thanks for stopping by today. You have until Thursday 7th May to solve this case file!
I’ve used lots of embellies from Amy Tangerine ‘Stitched’ collection on this layout as well as some patterned papers from my stash – I love all the peachy tones that are popular at the moment. I loved using some different angles on this layout which is a bit different for me.
Evidence: Triangles, Rubons, leaves
Testimony: I used the words a Little Bit in my title
Thanks for stopping by today… hope you have time to solve this case with us.
Today, I’m sharing a layout with you for Color Stories Inspiration. Case File 153: This file is pretty on trend with colour themes in recent kits I have purchased as well as some pieces of the ‘Stitched’ collections by Amy Tangerine and several bits and pieces from lots of different Maggie Holmes’ collections which I have used on my layout too. My take on the case file:
Evidence used: Circles and Texture Paste
Testimony: Document a milestone – this layout is about Taylor having her 4 year old immunisations and being so brave about it. To celebrate we went out for icecream and fluffies afterwards just the two of us.
Thanks so much for stopping by today! Hope you have enjoyed my layout share today.
