It’s Beverley’s last DT challenge over at Scrappin Patch. It’s a Budget to Blitz Challenge which I usually find just a wee bit of a challenge given my love of layering of gorgeous patterned papers.
The criteria for the challenge is
Create a layout with 1 sheet of double sided PP and 1 sheet of cardstock. Embellishments must either be handmade, recycled or non scrapbooking related and the same for the titles.
You are free to create with inks, paint, oddments/leftovers of paper, material, packaging materials and wrappers and anything else you can find or think of.
THE ADDED CRITERIA IN THIS CHALLENGE IS THAT YOU ARE NOT ALLOWED TO USE YOUR SHEET OF PATTERNED PAPER AS A BACKING PIECE IT HAS TO BE USED TO MAKE YOUR EMBELLISHMENTS!
This means you can cut out patterns on the paper and/or make your embellishments. You can use scraps or old book pages as backing.
Beverley certainly knows how to make a girl think! The challenge deadline is Monday 30th June so there is still time for you to all play along!! C’mon I know you want too!!
Here is my example:
1 x White Bazzil Cardstock
Cut out flower embellishments Prima Strawberry Kisses Paper – Berry Splash
Fabric Embellishment – Amy Butler (left overs from some cushions I made for the couch).
Monogram T – pattern taken from a Basic Grey Monogram
oothless – hand doodled
Totally – Mini Alpha Stamps
Inking – Bubble wrap and sponging techniques
I just love how this layout turned out…
